POP CULTURE GURU, SEX & DATING COLUMNIST, ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVIST
After graduating from New York University, Suzy worked as an actress, appearing in multiple commercials, movies, and TV shows, including The Sopranos and Entourage. Oh, and she worked as a body double for Kate Moss, Ashley Judd, and Kim Cattrall. (That’s Suzy’s bare butt you’re seeing in Sex and The City, not Samantha’s!)
Suzy began her journalistic career at the trash-tastic Star magazine, where she was an undercover “club girl” for three years. Since then she’s reported and written for Life & Style, InTouch, MailOnline, RadarOnline, Heat magazine, The Sun and News of the World.
In 2008, Suzy became a nightlife and sex columnist for Playboy Magazine, as well as a comedic online personality and a spokesperson for the dating site, Voiceplate.com. She went on to share her signature “take” on Hollywood and all things pop culture, via Popdust.com and in her radio podcast, Undercover with Suzy McCoppin.
As if that’s not enough, Suzy is also a published author. Her tween-centric novel, Kiss n Tell, which she co-wrote with Alison Swan, was published in 2014, and is currently under development with E!TV.
When she’s not pounding the laptop, or watching endless episodes of Seinfeld while slumped in an ice-cream induced food coma, Suzy can be found pounding the pavement—in search of lost, abandoned, and abused animals. But, it’s not just animals that Suzy wants to help and rescue—she’s also a human rights advocate and has volunteered as a Freedom Writer for Amnesty International for the last 12 years. Suzy is also a member of Food on Foot, a Los Angeles-based charity dedicated to helping the homeless.
